of Earth Hour and Orange Moons...
wow two posts in one day, i must really be in want of a social life!anyway, I realised that.. Earth Hour is over and I totally forgot about it! ![]() Okay maybe not forget but it sort of didn't leave an impression on me. *laughs at my horrible and awkward sentence structure* I mean, posters of the Earth Hour are put up around Singapore and even my church leaders tell me about it. However...I don't really see the significance. IDK, but it just gives me a very "Live Earth" feel. You know, the whole celebs flying around for a mega concert and contributing more to the enhanced greenhouse effect? And and and, would this Earth Hour thing make people complacent and all that? Like, just because they switched off their lights for an hour, they swagger around feeling damn good about themselves and forget about conserving energy the rest of the time? I kinda realised I'm in no position to talk since I forgot about this event and all, and I'm just a student, but wdv. ANW, the point is, Earth Hour is an event that may raise awareness on the importance of conserving Nature, but let's not forget that it's not an one-off event. We have to do this, long-term, okay. Oh, speaking of Earth, I'm suddenly reminded of Orange Moon! That's right, Khalil Fong's Orange Moon. Even though the album was released like last year, I only managed to listen to it today. YAYNESS~ I don't usually listen to C-Pop but he's one of the few C-pop singers I like. Seriously, if you can, go listen to his songs! So, out of curiousity, I went to google 'orange moon', and this is what i got: ![]() credits: http://www.stargazing.net/david/moon/moonrise20050917.html It really exists! OMG CHIO-NESS~ *swoons* Orange is a really cheerful colour and I happen to like it alot! Well, if you didn't know, I usually prefer muted, earthy tones and black, so liking a bright colour is kinda a big thing. Anyway as I was saying, orange moons exist! According to stargazing.net (eh it ends with a .net, must be a decent site right? .org even better wor *digresses*), "The reddish orange rising full Moon has the similar colorcast that occurs with the rising or setting Sun. This colorcast is caused by the atmosphere scattering of the blue spectrum of Moon light and Sun light." This is cool~! Oh sian. My Atmosphere test is coming soon. Tsk.
